Our Patient Care Technician program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to provide quality care to patients during their stay in a medical facility. You'll learn essential nursing fundamentals, patient communication, and clinical techniques to support patients' physical and emotional needs.

A Patient Care Technicians provides basic care and support to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse. They assist with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, and eating, and also help with mobility, toileting, and feeding.
PCTs also draw blood, obtain EKGs, and assist with wound care. PCTs document patient information, including observations and any changes in condition.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the forecasted growth demand for Patient Care Technicians between now and 2031 is 4%.
Annual salaries average $39k. Hourly pay typically ranges from $17 to $19, depending on experience. Plus, the role often comes with full-time benefits like health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.

Clinical Externship: TBD (Student agrees to work the schedule of preceptor at assigned facility. Program Director will provide details of clinical rotation site once confirmed based on location availability and proximity to student.)
